Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Pizza Crusts Taste Great

Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Pizza maybe the greatest thing since sliced bread. So maybe you are a meat eater who doesn’t need to care about your cholesterol or blood pressure levels. Trader Joe’s has plenty of options of delicious meats and cheeses at really affordable prices that you will love. They also have a great selection of wines, snacks, and fresh flowers, if that is what you are looking. But for me, it is their fantastic selection of pre-made, incredibly delicious vegetarian options that keeps me coming back every week.

Two of my absolute favorites come in two different varieties. First is their pre-made pizza crusts. I have enjoyed both the Cauliflower and the broccoli and kale varieties in so many different ways my friends are sick of seeing the pictures on Facebook. I will share a few photos of some of my creations that started with these fabulous bases that are only 80 for the cauliflower or even better, just 70 calories per one-sixth slice for the Broccoli and Kale version.

You can top these fabulous crusts with anything you would choose for a regular pizza, and the taste will be amazingly the same as long as you adhere to the cooking directions. Following the instructions of baking the crust on both sides for at least ten to twelve minutes was a lesson that took me not paying attention to twice to understand. When the main ingredients of your crust are vegetables, the cooking time is necessary to get rid of the water content, so spend the twenty to twenty-five minutes it takes to bake your crust correctly before you dress it.

After that, it is game on! Start with whatever kind of sauce you like. I have used everything from traditional tomato sauce to a creamy ricotta and herb mixture to homemade pesto, and they all turned out fantastic. Honestly, the sky’s the limit here so once the crust is thoroughly baked, start stacking it with your favorite ingredients or whatever you have left over.

I try sticking close to vegetarian ingredients like mushrooms, olives, and tomatoes when I am focused in on my doctor’s recommendation to led a more plant-based diet. I even find that when you bake it on top of a pizza, you can’t tell vegan cheese from the standard dairy type. But even when I have a craving to cheat and add chicken, pepperoni, or sausage, the taste is even more like satisfying. So get yourself to a Trader Joe’s today and give these crusts a try. At about five bucks a piece, what’s the worst that can happen?
