Latino Comedian Marco Arechiga died in Cabo San Lucas 14 July 2021

Marco Arechiga’s life centered on the task given to him by God; he was a minister. Courageously he undertook this task and never gave in. He has been a source of inspiration, wisdom, and inexhaustible strength to many. However; minister Marco was not an ordinary minister. He was something special, an extraordinary person to many people. Marco Arechiga will undoubtedly be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Minister Marco was no ordinary man. He was an officiant, a speaker, a performer, and an author. He brought his unique zest for life and laughter to many weddings, seminars, and shows. Minister Marco was exceptional in every way, and people loved him for many reasons.

Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, he lived in the city throughout his formative years. He then moved to the USA to continue his studies, eventually receiving his Ph.D. in Marketing and Business. He studied for 12 years to accomplish his goal. Everyone would describe him as a hardworking man who could always motivate and inspire everyone around him to be their best.

Minister Marco always had a tremendously positive, happy, and charming attitude that was very contagious. He officiated over 9000 weddings during his lifetime, which means that there was a tremendous amount of excitement where ever he was. According to Ricardo Brito, a friend of the Arechiga family, while their loss deeply saddens them, they are all strong in knowing that Minister Marco brought so much joy and laughter into so many people’s lives. Now Minister Marco is making the angels smile and laugh in heaven and on earth!

He will undoubtedly be missed yet never forgotten by all those who were fortunate enough to meet him.

In 2006, Marco became a Non-Denominational Minister. At that time, he was already fluent in English and Spanish. Then he learned to do ceremonies in other languages; Italian, Portuguese, and Hebrew. Not many people would imitate him because Minister Marco was special and highly unique, as you can tell by now.

In addition to studying and learning hard, he also had a rich family life. He was married to the love of his life and had two beautiful daughters.
Born on March 21, 1973, Marco was married for 28 years and a proud father of two amazing daughters.

In addition to being an officiant at weddings, Marco Arrechiga was also responsible for youth education in Sunday school. He also supervised weddings, baptisms, Masses, and funerals. On the holy days, it is the minister’s job to perform the routine actions in the church, but Minister Marco always did his best to make every day and every ceremony special.

In addition to guiding and entertaining current believers, Marco Arechiga often created events and other opportunities to gain new members. In doing so, he was concerned with introducing people from all kinds of backgrounds to the congregation with open arms and making sure that these people knew what it meant to be a believer and became proud of it.

So, although Marco Arechiga’s primary focus was his relationship with God and his family, it was also essential for him to support those people who believe in the same God. He always took the time to talk one-on-one with people and share his own beliefs and inspirations.

Marco had also won many awards for his hard work, including Best Wedding Minister of the Year Worldwide in both 2010 and 2016. In 2013 he won an award for the most weddings abroad, and in 2019, he received recognition for having performed over 8,000 destination weddings. He was asked to do so many weddings because he was such a rare person. He just had the gift to make everybody laugh. No tear would be shed for any reason if it was up to Minister Marco. He preferred laughter.

After he officiated a wedding in Cabo San Lucas, where everyone broke down laughing, Minister Marco was recommended by the groom, Kevin Klein, to participate in an upcoming Talent Competition at the 2013 Cabo Comedy Festival. P.R. wizard John Zaring produced the show, and when Minister Marco took the stage, the crowd went wild.

As a result of that Talent Competition, Minister Marco performed in a lot of great comedy clubs in the Northern part of the USA, including The Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store Hollywood, Ontario Improv, Stand Up NY, Comedy Palace in San Diego, The Montalban Theater, and YouTube Studios L.A. to name a few. He was also seen on both English and Spanish T.V., constantly receiving rave reviews for his comedy routines.

Marco Arechiga lived courageously and fully as he accomplished his tasks in this world. He now rests in the shadow of the Almighty, whom he spent his entire life serving in his unique and magical way. He touched so many lives, always with a smile and a laugh. Minister Marco will always be remembered for his kindness, gentleness, and pure love of life. May he rest in peace.
