Holidays Lounge recommends taking some time in February to explore the Kauai Quilt Show.
Starting February 10th and running through to February 22nd, the Quilt Show will take place at the Kukui Grove Shopping Center in Lihue. Open daily and with freed admission, there will be over 60 locally made quilts on display, with many for sale. The proceeds from the sales go directly to a Kauai Nonprofit of the buyer’s choice.
Holidays Lounge encourages guests to celebrate Valentine ’s Day with some Motown. A live tribute concert will take place at The Republik on February 14th in Honolulu. Local artist Maryann Ito will make up a 10-piece super band with keys, a brass horn section, and back-up vocalists to pay tribute to the era of Motown. Classic hits like ‘Be My Baby,’ and ‘I Heard It Through The Grapevine’ will be played. All proceeds will be directly donated to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Original opening sets provided by Kings of Spade, The Bentos, Paula Fuga, and Chicago’s Jennifer Hall.
Valentine’s Day may fall on a Tuesday this year, but time stands still on vacation. There are several cruises available to celebrate and indulge in luxury and romance while observing the views. Each cruise includes a gourmet dinner and entertainment, with an optional addition of a private window table and memory photo. The Five Star Dinner & Jazz and Romance Dinner & Jazz cruises are not recommended for children. The cruise departs from the Aloha Tower Marketplace, Pier 8. Holidays Lounge highly recommends making unforgettable plans for Valentine’s Day early.
