Check out the Game of Thrones spoiler.
Game Of Thrones Spoiler
As you read this, bear in mind that the spoiler is based on speculation and educated guesses. Now that we have that out of the way, the season finale will consist of six episodes. This should not worry you as each episode is almost as long as an average Hollywood movie.
When and Where To Expect It
The eighth and final installment will return on April 2019. In the US, as always, the series will be aired on HBO. In the United Kingdom, Game of Thrones will be televised on NOW TV and Sky Atlantic simultaneously.
Who to Expect
Expect to see the Lannisters in the final season. The ones you will see include Queen Cersei, Tyrion, and Jamie. Arya, Sansa, Jon Snow, and Bran adequately represent what is left of the proud Stark family.
Daenerys Targaryen is accompanied by her faithful team which includes the eunuch, Grey Worm, Tyrion Lannister, Jorah Mormont and Missandei. Oh and do not forget her army, which, if you remember well, has grown considerably in previous episodes. These and many other characters, who survived past seasons, will probably feature in the finale.
By the way, word on the grapevine is that Daenerys falls in love with Jon Snow in the final season.
Why So Long?
You must have wondered why the finale has taken so long. The technical aspects of filming the show, coupled with special effects seem to have taken the lion’s share of the time. The fact that shooting has been done on different continents and diverse sets has made it more complicated.
Speculation is rife that the first episode will begin at Winterfell. Daenerys and her formidable army are expected to show up at the Stark stronghold. Here, it is expected that most of the main characters will meet, in one way or the other, as they plan and strategize how to go to war.
As you probably expect, an intense battle with the Army of the Dead is inevitable. So the season will center on a buildup to this battle throughout the season, and what happens after that.
As you have seen in past seasons, the last episode is usually the climactic one. However, with the final season, expect it to be different. According to Vladimir Firdik, who plays the Night King, the climactic episode, marked by an intense battle, will come sooner than you expect.
Because the battle happens in the middle of the season, this is a twist you probably did not expect. Now that your appetite is whetted, what happens after the war is left to your imagination. This is as far as the spoiler goes.
There you have it. Brace yourself for the final season of the Game of Thrones. As you can see, it will be marked by a lot of twists and turns. The entire season centers on a buildup to a battle between the hit show’s protagonists and the Army of the Dead. The mid-season battle should make things more interesting for you as you anticipate what happens afterward.
So brace yourself for the final installment of the hit TV series. Be warned, and winter is coming.
