Dr. Pankaj Naram and Recent Study Linking Infertility to Artificial Sweeteners
Dr. Pankaj Naram shares important information on a new study that has revealed how sweeteners can harm fertility.
As a master healer, Dr. Pankaj Naram knows that the only thing more important than correctly treating a sick body is treating healthy one. Taking preventative measures, following healthy diets, and pursuing practices for a healthy body are essential to avoiding illness or medical complications all together. This day in age, there are so many substances that can have harmful impacts on the body. Things like cigarettes and alcohol are of course a problem, but diet can also be a huge problem. Food these days is full of chemicals and additives and eating simply and naturally is more important than ever. Those who seek proof of how the food they eat may harm them can easily find it. There are countless studies and research projects that offer findings on how harmful different foods and beverages can be. Today, Dr. Pankaj Naram would like to review one such recent study.
The study that Dr. Pankaj Naram would like to highlight is Artificial Sweeteners- Do They Bear An Infertility Risk? This study published on Oct 19, 2016 was conducted to observe the effects of sugar and artificial sweeteners on female infertility. The study was done with 524 women, all of whom were in the process of undergoing ICSI fertility treatments. At the beginning of the study, these women were carefully interviewed so that the team could record the kinds of drinks that they regularly consumed. The team was especially concerned with the quantities of coffee and soft drinks consumed by these women, and recorded which of these beverages were sweetened by regular sugar or artificial sweeteners.
The results of the study were very telling about the impact of both natural and artificial sweeteners on fertility. The team observed little impact in the woman who drank unsweetened coffee. However, negative impact on oocyte quality was observed in women who drank both diet and regular soft drinks and coffee sweetened by both sugar and artificial sweeteners. The artificial sweeteners and diet soft drinks were also linked with a decrease in implantation rate, and a decrease in the chances of conceiving during ICSI.
Infertility is a problem that many individuals and couples must cope with, and that is why Dr. Pankaj Naram believes that it is so important for these individuals to realize how their lifestyles and diet may be harming their ability to conceive, even while they are undergoing infertility treatments. Following the right diet and avoiding harsh chemicals and substances can truly be the key to aiding and reversing so many different health conditions, and studies like the one discussed here are showing more and more examples of just how important diet and lifestyle changes can be. Dr. Pankaj Naram said that many of these secrets for diet and lifestyle were known thousands of years ago, and were taught to him by his master which passed them down from a 2,500 year old lineage of masters who knew how to live to long and healthy ages.
